Darius Davis announced as new El Paso Wings Head Coach.

On Sunday, the El Paso Wings Board of Directors met and appointed Darius Davis as the team’s new Head Coach. Darius replaces Darrell Kondratowicz who served as the El Paso Wings Head Track and Cross Country coach for many years. Darrell stepped down due to other commitments but will continue to serve the team on the Board and in other capacities. We thank him for his tireless service to the team. His support has been irreplaceable.

Darius Davis is a long time Wing. He was a youth athlete during High School and joined the club as a coach about 7 years ago when he brought his daughter, Ava Davis, to the team. Darius immediately immersed himself into the operations of the organization as a coach and became a board member as well. He soon ascended to head Sprints coach and has developed the sprint program into what it is today with great success.

Coach Davis is a level 2 certified track coach (sprints) with USATF. He recently completed his Doctorate in Instructional Leadership and is employed by Western Technical College in El Paso.

Agustin David was appointed as the Head Cross Country Coach last summer. He has been serving as the head distance coach for the team for several years. Coach David came to the Wings when his son, Israel David, joined the team over 10 years ago. His dedication to the team has been irreplaceable as well. Coach David is also a level 2 certified coach with USATF (distance), and also holds a distance/cross country running certification.
